Three Ways Our Community Is Making Health Improvements
To guarantee consistently high-level service within every one of our communities, we’ve made several necessary improvements over the past year.
1. Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization
Needlepoint bipolar ionization is a unique technology used in HVAC systems to generate positively and negatively charged ions. Why is this important? Needlepoint bipolar ionization can help remove viruses, including SARS-2-CoV, from the air. It can also aid in surface disinfection within a treated area. This emerging technology has become even more popular in the wake of COVID-19 and has been installed in all Heritage Senior Living Communities.
We believe that installing needlepoint bipolar ionization technology in our HVAC systems will provide residents with greater peace of mind that they always are breathing clean air in all our communities.
2. Mandatory Staff Vaccinations
In the wake of COVID-19, our Life Plan Community has made the important decision to update our employee vaccination policy. As COVID-19 vaccines have become readily available, our goal is to get staff members vaccinated swiftly. In accordance with the CDC, we are following all state and local government mandates to ensure our staff members get their vaccines at the proper times to ensure our staff and residents remain protected from the spread of disease.
3. Improved Disinfection Practices
In addition to only using cleaning and disinfecting products that contain an active antibacterial or antimicrobial ingredient, our Heritage Senior Living communities are taking additional precautions to ensure proper disinfection practices and sanitation. Since germs are most often spread by hands or person-to-person contact, we’ve focused our efforts on promoting personal hygiene among our residents as well as staff members while also regularly cleaning shared surfaces to remove dirt, food particles and germs.
With 15 senior living communities in and around Wisconsin, we’re responsible for the care and health of countless individuals. By ensuring our staff gets the latest vaccines as recommended by the CDC, we ensure their health and those they come into contact with regularly.
