A wonderful home since 2022. I have an Independent 2 bedroom apartment, with a lovely porch facing woods and a pond. A noon meal is provided for Independents, and the quality is very good, although I love to fix my own meals in my convenient and comfortable little kitchen. I often take my knitting and sit in the comfortable lounge to be sociable, or outdoors—weather permitting. We have a lovely patio area for the sunshine, plus tables with umbrellas for shade lovers.
There are many activities, musical programs, and amenities (including a movie theater and an excellent hair salon) which Independents and people in Assisted Living share. I have friends in Assisted Living, and they receive excellent care. The staff is exceptionally friendly and encouraging. I live on the 1st floor, near a social room which opens into the dining room, and can be partitioned when needed.
On weekday mornings coffee, juices, cereal, hot sausages or scrambled eggs, and muffins or sweet rolls are provided in the social room at no extra cost. A small enclosed dining area is available to be reserved at no cost, for private meals or meetings. The location is excellent with a supermarket, good pizza, an Asian restaurant, and a coffee bistro with a full lunch menu just a short walk from the front entry, At age 93, I am truly blessed to have such a lovely home—with room for visitors, my piano, a spinning wheel and baskets of Merino wool and silk fibers to spin, a generous supply of yarns and knitting needles, and an extra bedroom which is my art studio. And I share my apartment with possibly the sweetest, funniest 3 year old kitty on the planet. Well behaved dogs and cats are welcome here, with a reasonable extra fee.
