Heritage Mobility

Heritage Senior Living’s Mobility Program helps keep our residents as healthy and safe as possible. When a resident moves into a Heritage community, we complete a personalized assessment to make sure they stay safe and mobile.

Each community provides professional therapy services and all exercise classes have been developed with the help of a certified physical therapist to increase strength and balance. Heritage Senior Living also utilizes a specialized program designed by the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association called “Walking Tall,”  which helps prevent accidents and increases our residents’ ability to remain independent.

Regular Exercise Classes

Our monthly Life Enrichment calendar has several exercise classes designed to help our residents stay strong and mobile. Whether it’s Flex, Fit and Fun, Moving and Grooving, or an exercise class using therabands, weights or parachutes, our instructors focus on maintaining and increasing mobility.

Additionally, our Walking Club meets regularly, even during winter months by walking inside. We also have fun with electronic gaming.

On-Site Therapy

At each of our communities, we provide an on-site Medicare-certified therapy, which can be completed in the comfort of a resident’s home. Each physical therapist offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Additional services include the treatment of post-hospital weakness and orthopedic conditions, plus balance and mobility screenings.

Walking Tall Fall Prevention Program

Walking Tall was developed with the help of the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association and created specifically to assist seniors with fall and accident prevention. The goal is to keep our residents informed and safe as possible. The four major program components are:

  1. Assessments
  2. Interventions and care planning
  3. Individual evaluation
  4. Education and training

Mobility Program Features
